FeaturesUser benefitsThe users have the ability to view, manipulate, save and distribute data using Excel before printing or automatically directing output to the printer. Data format comes pre-configured for ease of use with graphs, pivot tables and mail merges. ExcelSupport for Microsoft Excel version 5 and above output format. Multiple logical reports can be combined as separate spreadsheets within one workbook. Specific column formatting can be defined for the report including currency, number or text types, fonts, formulas, locking and colouring. Up to 254 columns of any type of data can be created in each spreadsheet with up to 60,000 rows of data. PeopleSoftSQRXLS supports PeopleTools versions 7.5 and above. From version 8 onwards all processing is done on the Process Scheduler and includes concurrent report creation. The print options are automatically read from the Process Scheduler. The report output is secured using the PeopleSoft Report Distribution process. The final workbook can be saved using the name of the SQR and process instance. ProgramSQRXLS is an option driven programming interface allowing flexibility in most formatting related areas, including titles, headers and footers, column headings, spreadsheet tabs, spreadsheet order and column formats. The SQR can define default printing modes of Landscape or Portrait for each spreadsheet. Dynamic formulae can be defined in the SQR which are then calculated in the spreadsheet. Pivot tables can be automatically created with one line of code. Combined Non-Excel output is supported. One macro is used for reports, rather than having to create different macros for each. The Microsoft Excel formatting is performed using a Visual Basic application which can also be modified to suit requirements. |
