Global Payroll

PeopleSoft Global Payroll supports worldwide operations with streamlined application maintenance, easy global deployment, and easy management across borders.  Allinity is the only PeopleSoft partner to have been involved in the ongoing development of the core Global Payroll product.

Our consultants were involved in the functional design and were responsible for the set-up of initial Earnings and Deductions, design and build of enhancements to store legacy Pay slip data and the modification of delivered BACS SQR and Application Engine routines.  Additionally we delivered report specifications, provided functional design for the revised P45 routine and specified, designed and tested post release enhancements.  Our technical responsibilities included the creation of SQR reports for Inland Revenue forms and investigating Electronic Data Interchange for submitting Inland Revenue forms on magnetic media.

We were also involved in the system test of Global Payroll V8.3 prior to general release and we have delivered the Global Payroll Core Engine and UK Rules training to clients on behalf of PeopleSoft Education Services.

Allinity consultants have extensive commercial Global Payroll experience and we have invested heavily in training to guarantee that all consultants have completed both the Core Engine and UK Rules training courses.

Functional Design

Global Marine require fast track Global Payroll Fit Gap Analysis

Representing PeopleSoft Consulting, Allinity performed a demonstration of the UK country extension of Global Payroll.  In a short time frame the client additionally required the preparation of a high level fit-gap analysis.  Our consultants also prepared an in-depth comparison of the UK and PeopleSoft North American Payroll products.  A thorough demonstration of the Training, Base Benefits, Recruitment and Health and Safety modules was performed for the client.

Technical Design and Development

Unilever break new ground with first live Global Payroll in the UK

Allinity was involved at the early stage of this implementation on behalf of PeopleSoft Consulting and continues to develop new functionality and to provide direct support within the Global Payroll production support teams.  As part of our technical development our consultants created a solution to be able to update Positive Input on a large scale instead of on an individual basis.  A Component Interface was created to interact with an Excel Spreadsheet which updates PeopleSoft Positive Input to individual records.  Additionally we created new pages where Earnings and Deductions Assignments can be updated on a large scale.  Due to their element configuration, updates, terminations or additions can only be completed on individual basis.  The new page gives users access to a user defined list of employees to which they can update Earnings and Deductions Assignments to the defined employees, saving considerable time and effort.  Allinity then supported the live Payroll system and acted as the technical lead for all of the Phase II development of the Global Payroll functionality.

Thalès select Global Payroll for integrated HCM and Payroll solution

Representing PeopleSoft Consulting, Allinity assisted with the implementation of HCM V8 and Global Payroll for the UK.  Allinity's main responsibilities comprised the development of custom pages and Payroll elements, data conversion, analysis and set up of the company structure and Payroll structure to meet the client's requirements.

Marsh achieve fast track implementation of HCM and Global Payroll V8

Marsh is the world's leading risk and insurance services firm employing 38,000 staff in more than 100 countries.  Marsh were faced with the reality of the termination of support for their existing HCM system, a decision was made to take advantage of the functionality provided by PeopleSoft 8.  This would allow consolidation of the functionality implemented in the United States HCM V7.5 system while remaining as close to a vanilla implementation as feasible.  Allinity consultants worked as technical experts on this small implementation team to design and deliver numerous complex reporting solutions and to produce detailed technical specifications and documentation.

Production Support

Allinity manage production support for Unilever live Payroll

Allinity was involved at the early stage of this implementation on behalf of PeopleSoft Consulting and continued to develop new functionality and provide direct support within the Global Payroll production support teams.  Our consultants managed all of the live Payroll production support, including maintenance of the fully patched environments, all user access and security, the nightly batch jobs, migration control, retrospective processing, debugging of delivered functionality and support of monthly and weekly Pay runs.  Allinity were also responsible for the configuration of new Pay elements whilst ensuring stability of the first live Global Payroll system in the UK.
